What to expect from an extended family session?

Extended family sessions are incredibly special to me- quite easily one of my favorite sessions to be able to document. How often do you get to gather the entire family together? Those times alone are cause for celebration for sure. I am a documentary photographer for the most part, and what that means is that I truly enjoy being able to document families relationships and connection in a more candid and carefree way- led by play, relaxed gathering, games, laughter, child led movement, and just honest togetherness. I love to gather everyone together for our group portraits and individual family portraits first, and then portraits of individuals (kids, or grand parents together, or any other requests) and from there everyone can let loose. During our planning call, we talk a lot about members of your family, what get togethers look like for you, and likely pick an activity or two that would be common for you to do together.

What does the session cost include?

I offer two session options to accommodate each unique extended family and the individual families in it.
Each session collection is priced to include the session fee, retouching, and a specified amount of digital images. These are delivered to you via an online viewing gallery that allows you to purchase prints at your convenience from a professional print lab as well as download high resolution digital copies of your included images for personal use. This includes a personal print release for your digital images. Travel is included within a 90 mile radius of 49431. If you’re beyond that, a simple travel cost is added.

50 % of the session fee is required as a non-refundable retaining fee due at time of booking, remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the date of session. . Travel is included within a 60 mile radius of Ludington, Michigan 49431 zip code.
