So stoked you’re here! I’m Jessica
I always wanted to create- I was an art kid growing up. I went to college for architecture, but found it was the love of creating art for art’s sake that led me to photography. I love painting, drawing cartoons, film, nature, travel. We spent a lot of summers in the UP growing up, and jumping in the car to “go for a ride” was a thing in our family that kind of just stuck with me. Now I’m oftentimes skipping flying and driving out West or to Arkansas just because.
Born and raised in West Michigan, I get antsy when the long winters settle in. I lived in Puerto Rico for several years, Arkansas for a year, and spend a lot of time in Arizona. I’m almost deaf in my right ear. My music playlist is a hot mess. I home school my 14 & 15 year old, and we spend most of our spring/summer/fall outside.

I love storytelling portraits and approaching things with a photojournalistic viewpoint. I am a noticer- I strive on anticipating moments, connection, belly laughs. I romanticize life, and I truly believe that to be so important.
