Beth & Daniel // Ann Arbor Matthaei Botanical Gardens Engagement

Beth & Daniel are one of my 2026 couples who will get married in the summer outside in the gardens of Matthei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor. When we were planning their engagement session we had originally planned for something else and ended up at the gardens, and as it usually does, everything works out for a reason.

We spent an afternoon visiting the indoor part of the gardens (mind blowing, honestly) and then wandered outside to see their ceremony site. Afterwards, we went and played with their dog Hazel who was pretty upset that she couldn’t join us in the garden and waited very patiently outside until we were done.

I’ve gotten to spend several days at Matthaei Botanical Gardens now and if you’ve never been, or are in the Ann Arbor area and looking for an amazing place- here it is.
