Kibby Creek // Extended Family Session

When Caitlyn sent me a message about photographing her family at their campground to celebrate them all being together, I was so excited to be able to work with them and document such a beautiful time. I asked Caitlyn to write a little bit about their session.

”I cannot speak enough volumes on the treasure that these photos are! And the memories we created during the actual session.

Our life together as a family is one you don't see every day. We are so intricately woven together. Our lives full of hardship and joy. Facing each thing united in Jesus and finding Joy in it all!
When we learned of dad's rapidly moving cancer we knew we needed to capture the essence of who we are with him and because of him.

I immediately knew Jess was the one for the job! Her art is just that! It's truly art. It captures lifestyle in a way I've never quite seen before!
She values each of us and our connections. She sees them. And finds ways to capture it and all the raw emotion.

Jess jumped on this opportunity and spent so much time in preparing. So much time in our actual session (hours!) and so much time curating each image.
She was flexible and caring as we knew we had to find the right time when dad was feeling well enough.
She listened to dads life story and legacy and made beautiful suggestions on how we could enjoy each others company while she just captured it!

And truthfully we did just that we enjoyed each others company we had a night of just being together as a family. And she followed bringing bits of extra joy with fun suggestions here and there!

It was a night we will all remember and cherish deeply.
And these photos are true treasures to each of us.
We can't say thank you enough Jess! But thank you”
