Puerto Rico beach life // Day at the beach, & why we started to homeschool

We moved to Puerto Rico when my kids were in the first grade in public school. My husband and I both travel a ton for our work, and the kids were struggling with several things with school. The opportunity to move to PR kind of happened, and we jumped on it. Sold everything we owned, and were on a plane. My kids are in the 6th & 7th grade now and we’re still on our homeschool journey, we’ve lived in Puerto Rico for almost 6 years, lived in Arkansas & hope to build a house on our property there soon, and now live Arizona and spend summer in Michigan. Puerto Rico will always hold such a special place for us, between waterfalls and rivers nestled in secret little spots, the ocean and swimming with octopus and turtles….and sharks, to my kids learning to swim in the literal ocean.

I travel back to PR as often as possible, and offer this location for sessions and weddings too because I’m obsessed with it.
