Amanda & Jarell // August Elopement Ludington State Park

I have photographed Amanda & Jarell’s family before, and when she contacted me about photographing their elopement I’m pretty sure I squeaked loudly when I read the message. It was everything we anticipated and more- a perfect August evening. Amanda planned every single detail so beautifully, and the dunes were as always gorgeous.

From Amanda & Jarell :

8.22.21

We chose to elope on an evening with a full moon. I am told this is the very best time to marry, because this planetary body regulates our inner waters and the rise and fall of our emotional tides. It is a time for cleaning out old energy and belief systems that have been restricting or trapping you and starting fresh and new. When you get married under the full moon, it means that the yin of energy you are bringing into your union is just as powerful as the yang, and that your marriage will be one of harmony and balance, with equal parts give and take.

We had a private intimate ceremony with our children but our friends and family were all in our hearts
